Julie has joined Estate First Lawyers as a senior paralegal and is in the final year of her law degree. She is currently attaining first class honours in her law subjects and is keen to pursue a legal career in estate and elder law. Julie previously worked as a financial adviser for 15 years, advising clients on their retirement planning and superannuation. Julie brings a unique skillset to Estate First, having been trained in financial planning as well as the law. She combines this with a kind and thoughtful approach to clients and a listening ear.
Education & Credentials
In addition to her legal studies, Julie has several degrees, including a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Architecture with Honours from the University of Queensland. She also holds an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) through Kaplan.
Julie has a breadth of life and work experience, and strong knowledge of the interaction between estate planning and financial planning strategies including superannuation, wealth accumulation and tax minimisation from her previous career as a senior financial planner. She comes to estate planning and administration with a unique background that assists her in understanding and working with accountants and financial advisers to achieve the best outcomes for clients and their families. She gains immense satisfaction from working with clients to secure their legacies, and tackling complex problems that require a meticulous and thorough approach.
